Boston Marathon 2008
annual boston marathon on patriots day. didnt go to the finish line but caught some folks along comm ave. this fellow is on a wheelchair. how cool is that.
someone recently told me: anyone can do a marathon.

magic brownies
ashamed that i've neglected to update the site since my trip home. i can pretend to say i was too busy, but in reality, it's just my laziness and the fact that nothing interesting is going on in my life right now. (unless you want to count th job promotion, non-ski trip, L's crazy birthday party.. ok not so boring after all)
have been home all weekend and was craving craving for ice cream... went to whole foods and discovered MAGIC BROWNIES (no worries folks, this is not the typical magic brownies you're thinking about).

Not sure if this is a special edition or a regular flavor, but boy it's good. not sure about the tie-in with Dave Matthews (environmental cause??) but who cares. If i can save the planet by eating ice cream, i'll save the planet everyday!

lucky me
i've had three birthday celebrations so far.
and it's not even my birthday yet. not till next week.
boy am i lucky. first my lovely colleagues surprised me by bringing me out for a mid-morning coffee break to "celebrate" my birthday. then on the very next day, they brought me home-made cupcakes, which they had made just for me.
and last night C-Ann and her husband brought me for a wonderful dinner at the very hip south end. boy am i lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
thank god for everything. thank god for life. going back home for vacation tomorrow to celebrate LIFE with friends and family....
praying god will bring me there safely. sometimes life can be so good i need to pinch myself to make sure i am not dreaming.

a fairly productive day at work. yoga class after work. ending it all with a cheap but good bottle of wine. a relatively good day. now back to regular programming

duh...
I was all excited to build my new bedside table. I was ready -- had my trusty tools and American Idol in the background to keep me company. Read the instructions carefully and off i went to work.
Halfway through, Mーさん said: "I think you got the wrong color"
yikes, yes i did. doesnt match the bed frame.
taking it apart and putting it back in the box. another ikea trip this weekend.
how dumb!!!
